Jizera beads

Honza and Libor Štrom are enthusiasts for everything that revolves around glass and glass products. They operate in the nearby small town of Hejnice beneath the northern slopes of the Jizera Mountains, which have always been one of the centers for the production of glass and glass products. They create with love and joy and are always happy when their work is appreciated.

Each of them came to working with glass, metal, and other materials via their own, completely different path. Honza perfectly masters the basic technique of wire-looping (or 'ketlování'), which he has been dedicated to for over 20 years. Libor uses his experience from textile techniques and focuses on crocheted and sewn costume jewelry. Six years ago, they joined forces and names and started creating under the common brand Atelier HOLI. They use materials available from regional sellers and primarily employ traditional, time-tested techniques in their production.

They are happy to share their experience at the creative workshop Jizerské korálkování (Jizera Beading), where you can make simple products and, at the same time, learn many interesting facts from the history and present of the world of glass and costume jewelry. You will enjoy comfort, relaxation, and pleasant company, and you will also take home a handmade souvenir of your stay in the local resort.
